SEGA says Humankind had a “good start”, wants to make it

Classic arcade games are inarguably fun. However, they’re not perfect- people who want to play them on modern consoles know that you need a functioning controller with buttons and sticks in order to get the most out of these classics. That’s why SEGA is bringing back its line of retro-style controllers for their next generation console, the SEGA Mega Drive Classic Mini Console.

The “humankind strategies reddit” is a subreddit that has been created to discuss the latest news and updates from SEGA. The company recently released a statement saying that they want to make it.

SEGA’s CEO, Haruki Satomi, remarked in a Q&A session with analysts and investors as the company reported on its fiscal results for Q2 2021 that humanity has gotten off to a “excellent start.”

Humankind’s debut day player count won it a slot among Steam’s most popular titles, even briefly surpassing Civilization 6’s.

Is a sequel to Humankind in the works?

The Humankind IP seems to have a bright future, since Satomi also remarked on the franchise’s future plans.

“It was a solid start,” Satomi remarked, “and we may anticipate to make this a series in the future.” “This game has a lot of promise, and it’s become an IP we want to nurture for a long time.”
