Fallen Frontier, a sci-fi RTS from the creators of Company of Heroes and Warhammer: Vermintide 2 set to release later this year has been delayed until Q2 2022. With over 1 million units preordered, publisher BANDAI NAMCO has decided that they need more time to fine tune Fallen Frontier’s gameplay and talk with their fans before releasing it into the market.
The “falling frontier release date” is the new sci-fi RTS from Fallen Frontier, which was originally scheduled for a Q2 2022 release. However, due to issues with the development team and their inability to meet deadlines, the release has been delayed until Q2 2023.
Fallen Frontier, a sci-fi real-time strategy game, has been postponed until Q2 2022, according to publisher Hooded Horse and developer Stutter Fox Studios.
Fallen Frontier’s postponement will “give additional time to develop on the narrative campaign featuring conflict between Mars and Titan,” according to the publisher. The announcement came with a new video that showed off the game’s development as well as its search and rescue mechanism.
The next teaser for Fallen Frontier begins in an orbital waystation, a facility that can fulfill some of the functions traditionally associated with a shipyard. Repairing, refitting, rearming, recrewing, and resupplying ships are among them. Players may change the design of their ships and swap or add equipment to make them more suitable for various mission types.
A Hano-class Destroyer dubbed The Pinnacle is updated with a module particularly designed for search and rescue operations in the video posted below. Players may also swap and improve other aspects of the ship, like as its weaponry, using the game’s ship builder.
Each of Fallen Frontier’s ships is staffed by a crew that not only effects its performance but also has the potential to be hurt or killed as a result of damage. They may also employ escape pods, allowing any group to reclaim them as long as they are recovered before their supplies run out.
In Fallen Frontier, information is crucial, and The Pinnacle’s upgrade allows it to send recon drones to study the asteroid field where its search and rescue operation is taking place. This allows it to view the most recent known location of the lifeboats it is searching for.
You may interrogate and obtain information from enemy personnel by retrieving them. Low-ranking officers are more likely to speak out, but they won’t always provide any juicy details. High-ranking police are less inclined to provide information, but when they do, it’s more likely to be accurate.
Captains then have access to information that other crew members do not, such as the location of installations and ships. Navigators not only know where the ship has been and is going, but they can also tell you more about their faction’s typical patrol route.
Engineers may be made to provide information regarding broad technological and logistical levels, while the gunnery officer may be questioned about weapon configurations and defensive placements in the area.
Most of the game’s systems are ready for Early Access, but Todd D’Arcy, the game’s only developer, said he wanted to “take the necessary time to bring the game to its finest possible form before players get their hands on it.”
