Into the Echo is a new MMORPG with an emphasis on character individuality

This week sees the release of Into the Echo , a new MMORPG that allows players to create unique characters that can be adjusted to fit their play style.

A lot of players are familiar with the standard MMORPG – one where you run around making upgrade raids with your buddies, flinging spells around with your healer, and trying your best to evade the mobs that are trying to kill you. The standard MMORPG goes by many names, but most people know it as “WoW”, “RIFT”, “ARPG”, “WoTLK”, “TERA”, “EVE”, “EQ”, “GW2”, “TERA”, “RIFT”, “GW2”, “EQ”, “TERA”, “WoTLK”, “GW2”, “EQ”, “WoTLK”, “WoTLK”, “EQ”, “WoTLK”, “WoTL

I first heard of Into the Echo when it first debuted at PAX East last year. The game was met with positive feedback by fans who had already played other MMOs. However, the game also received a fair amount of criticism from fans of older MMORPGs, who felt that it was too similar to games they played in the past.

While all players in a game are not required to follow these molds, the in-development MMORPG Into the Echo seeks to do away with the idea of cookie cutter characters and emphasize individuality instead.

“Whether you choose to master a craft, become a famous code-breaker, or fight for your faction, your contribution is critical to the world’s advancement. We’re hard at work developing mechanisms to enable massive PvP and PvE adventures, as well as unique community challenges that require players to solve with certain abilities and reward the whole community when completed.”

Into the Echo boasts of its worldbuilding method, claiming to have written the game world’s history back millions of years, while the game itself primarily seeks players with “diversity of purpose” who can work together to accomplish objectives or discover the game’s past. ETLOK Studios’ goal for Into the Echo is to create “an complete virtual world that transcends media channels and can serve as a launching pad for next generation social interactions,” as well as a game that will last years or decades.

What we don’t have are concrete dates for testing stages, gameplay previews, or anything like a launch schedule. However, there is concept art, an official website, a Discord server, and a lot of wishes.
